Athleticism and technique are vital to any performance however just as crucial is the emotional engagement a dancer has with the story they’re telling through the choreography. But understanding how to execute that can be a tough nut to crack.

After a two-decade career as a dancer, I used my subsequent training as a writer and theater artist during my undergraduate degree at UCLA to develop a technique that teaches dancers how to create both character and story, and to emotionally connect with choreography so they can live confidently in the moment onstage and deliver more dynamic performances.
